The WA branch of the College represents approximately 100 members working in Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Nuclear medicine, Radiopharmaceutical Science, Radiation Protection, Biomedical Engineering, teaching and academics throughout hospitals, universities, private contracting, and government organisations within WA.
The branch is run by a committee of volunteers who meet regularly, and serve as a liaison between its local members and the ACPSEM whilst focusing on issues specific to WA. The branch supports and organises CPD events as well as social events and holds an Annual Meeting to discuss issues both local and national.
The aims and objectives of the branch are similar to those of the national body, with a special focus on issues relevant to the state.
The branch usually offers two annual awards; the Robert Stanford Award and the John Black Student Award. In addition, the branch frequently offers a travel grant to contribute to the recipient's travel to the national conference EPSM. We also have a yearly Branch Scientific Meeting.
